Aerial Tours

Come explore glacier country with us. After boarding your aircraft prepare yourself for one of the most spectacular flights in the world. Only by air can you truly experience the vast beauty of the 4,400 square mile Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.

Your flight begins as you soar over the beautiful Lynn Fjord which is the longest and deepest in North America. The fjord is home to pods of Killer (Orca) and Humpback whales.

You will enter Glacier Bay as you fly up the Davidson Glacier and over the massive Davidson Icefield. Cross this land of ice and glacially carved peaks and you find yourself over the crystal blue, ice-filled waters of Glacier Bay.

As you fly over and explore Glacier Bay, watch for mountain goat, whale, and Stellar Sea Lions.

Many of the largest of Glacier Bay's 16 tidewater glaciers that you will see originate in the Mt. Fairweather / St. Elias Range, the highest coastal range in the world peaking at over 15,000 feet. Have plenty of film ready so you can capture these scenic vistas and glacial wonders.

Also watch for "calving" glaciers that tumble walls and chunks of ice off into the Bay. You will see the rapidly retreating Muir and McBride Glaciers that do "calve" often. You will also be amazed by the jagged blue crevasses of the Riggs and Carrol Glaciers. This arctic blue occurs as the ice can absorb all colors of the spectrum except blue, which is reflected back.

Throughout your flight you will be surrounded by more than 100 alpine and valley glaciers which are yet unnamed. Towards the conclusion of your tour, you will fly over the lush Tahkin and Kicking Horse River Valleys, where bear and moose are often sighted.

All of our employees are committed to making your Alaska flight experience the safest and most enjoyable. Come join us!
